City Sightseeing Seville launch free Wi-Fi for customers
• Spanish operator introduces free wi-fi to encourage social networking
City Sightseeing Seville have rolled out free wi-fi to its fleet of open top buses. Passengers can now connect their smart phones and tablets whilst on the move to check emails and upload their travel news and photographs to social networks.
Travellers can immediatly update their 'followers' about what they can see and do whilst on the Seville tour - like the Torre del Oro (Golden Tower) or the Arco de la Macarena (Macarena Arch), as well as comment about their experiences in Seville.
City Sightseeing sees this service not just as added value but as a chance to promote the destination. The operator has started to include popular hashtags like - #sevilla, #sevillahoy, #visitasevilla y, en estos días, #DonJuan, #DonJuanTenorio y #soyundonjuan to both its online and offline media.
Dani Vidal, the City Sightseeing operations manager said; "We all know how expensive it can be to use your mobile device whilst travelling. We hope that by adding this free service it will encourage our travellers to promote the tour and the destination whilst on the move. Social networking while travelling is becoming very popular and the on bus wi-fi open ups another stream to digital users to get involved."Return to News Homepage
