City Sightseeing, the World’s number one open top tour bus operator this week announced two new cities to add to their expanding network of tours around the globe.
At World Travel Market, London, they announced that City Sightseeing Sharjah in the UAE and City Sightseeing Johannesburg in South Africa – will both start operating very soon.
City Sightseeing Sharjah will be the brands first tour in the Far East and will start operating with three, open top double deck buses at the end of November. Sharjah, said to be the cultural capital of the United Arab Emirates and right next door to Dubai offers tourists the chance to experience the Arabic way of life as well as visiting some important attractions along the way including: The Central Souq, one of the largest Souq’s in the area, the Al Noor Mosque, the leisure area of Al Qasba and the Islamic Museum. The operation in Sharjah is being run as a partnership between Sharooq – Sharjah’s investment and development authority and City Sightseeing Worldwide.
City Sightseeing South Africa, having been developed in Cape Town, is set to launch the brand in Johannesburg in early January 2013. Operated with ten environmentally friendly buses which feature a multi-language commentary system as well a special kids tour will take in some of South Africa’s largest city’s landmarks including: Gandhi Square, the Carlton Centre and Top of Africa viewing platform, the transport museum and the Apartheid Museum.
