Unique Cape Town Night Tour welcomes in the summer months

Unique Cape Town Night Tour welcomes in the summer months

The warmer weather has arrived and not only has it heralded earlier sunrises and longer days but it also brings with it the re-opening of the City Sightseeing Night Tour - the only one of its kind in South Africa and an experience not to be missed!

Cape Town is beautiful by day, and absolutely magical on a warm summers night, as the stars light your way through the Mother City with Table Mountain lit up as a spectacular back drop.

The Night Tour, running from 20 September until 06 May 2013, starts at the V&A Waterfront (Stop 1), with the bus departing at 18h00 until 14 March, when it will then begin departing a bit earlier at 17h30 (until 06 May). Taking you past all the best night attractions, the bus stops at Signal Hill to watch the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean – so remember to bring along a picnic basket with snacks and sundowners.

Details of the Night Tour at a glance:

  • From 20 September until 14 March the bus departs from the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront at 18h00.
  • From 15 March to 06 May the bus departs from the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront at 17h30.
  • Total length of time of the entire tour is three hours.
  • It is not a hop-on, hop-off tour.
  • Tour ends back at our Tour Office, outside the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront.
  • Bring warm clothes just in case.

City Sightseeing Cape Town, the first carbon neutral bus company in South Africa, now offer a choice of three exciting tours on their world famous open-top bus – the one day Red City Tour and the 1-Day Blue Mini Peninsula tour, which includes a free Wine Tour of Constantia Valley, as well as the newly launched Night Tour. Anyone who buys a 2-Day ticket, combining the Red and Blue Tours will also receive a free ticket for the Night Tour as well.

Also on offer is the City Sightseeing Canal Cruise which offers the chance to experience the V & A Waterfront from a completely different angle whilst enjoying this nautical adventure for only R30 (the Canal Cruise is also included free with a 2-Day ticket).

The City Sightseeing Tour Office is located outside the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront and can be contacted on +27 (21) 511 6000. Buses operate daily from 09h00 with commentary available in 16 different languages, and includes a fun Kids Channel.
